COCHIN – MUNNAR – PERIYAR – KUMARAKOM – KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM
 DAY 01 COCHIN
On arrival at Cochin Railway station / Airport you will be met
by our representative and transferred to hotel for 2 nights. Cochin
– the ‘Queen of Arabian Sea’ is one of the most
interesting cities of India and has one of the finest natural
harbours in the world. The ancient Temples, Churches and Synagogues
in this district are of special interest to archeologists and
historians. The Chinese fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch
palace and the Bolghatty palace in Cochin enrich the heritage
of Kerala. Rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02 COCHIN
After breakfast go for a sightseeing tour of Cochin covering the historic sites and monuments. Afternoon free to relax. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 03 COCHIN – MUNNAR
After breakfast checkout and drive to Munnar, the most
beautiful hill station on the Western Ghats. En route, visit tapioca
and banana plantation. Munnar is famous for tea estates and is
the biggest tea producer in South India. Located 1600 m above
the sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of
the erstwhile British Govt. in south India. Sprawling tea plantations,
picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this
a popular resort town. On arrival check in at hotel for 2 nights.

DAY 04 MUNNAR
After breakfast drive to Eravikulam National Park, where
you can see the Nilgiri Thar (which is almost extinct from the
world). Afternoon visit to Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point followed
by visit to local market. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 MUNNAR- PERIYAR
After breakfast checkout and drive to Periyar. On arrival check
in at hotel for 2 nights. Periyar, one of the well known wildlife
sanctuaries of South India is famous for wild animals especially
elephants. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar
dam across the Periyar river adds to the charm of the park. This
is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience
of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat
on the lake. Rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 06 PERIYAR
Morning go for boat cruise in the lake to watch wildlife. Afternoon to visit private farms to see spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, clove etc. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07 PERIYAR- KUMARAKOM
After breakfast checkout and drive to Kumarakom. A beautiful
destination of mangroves forest, green paddy fields and coconut
groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals, the
village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad
Lake. The bird sanctuary here is an ornithologist’s paradise
and a favourite haunt of migratory birds. The lakes here provide
boating, fishing and sightseeing experiences that are truly exhilarating.
On arrival check in at hotel for 1 night. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 08 KUMARAKOM – KOVALAM
After breakfast checkout and drive to Kovalam. On arrival check in at hotel for 2 nights Overnight at hotel
DAY 09 KOVALAM
Day free at the beach Overnight at the Resort
DAY 10 TRIVANDRUM
Morning free. Later transfer to Trivandrum Airport / Railway Station for onward destination. |
